Nothing Is Said Here About a Mule’ Special to The Times. GREEN SB ÜBG, Ind., Aug. 20—Prominent persons of the southern part of this county state that it is not a fable or “snake story” in regard to a monstrous snake having been seen in that community. They declare that the reptile, which is from twenty-five to thirty-five feet in length and as large in proportion, has been seen several times during the last few days. Work has been almost abandoned in that locality and the men, armed with guns, are searching for the monster. A calf belonging to Robert Bishop of that neighborhood was killed by the reptile, it is said. The entire population of the commuinty has become much alarmed about the snake, fearing that it will do great damage to stock. The only theory that can be advanced by the residents for the appearance of such a snake In that locality is that it has escaped from some traveling show. Touches Live Wire in Trimming Trees Clark Willoughby, 19, 2009 West Morris street, was trimming trees in the Arsenal Technical school grounds yesterday afternoon when he touched a live wire and was knocked out of the tree. He fell on a fence and for a time was unconscious, but later recovered and was taken home. Ever good Oleoznargarlne—Glossbrenner’r.

One of the wheel* on Columbus Allsop’* buggy broke down while he was driving along the road Friday morning. It did not come as a surprise to him, as he had been expecting It for the pa*t several years. • • • Sim Flinders believes now that foxes have more sense than they make out like they have. He captured one a few nights ago and placed it securely in a barrel. The animal appeared to be perfectly satisfied with its new location, but when Sim went out the next morning the fox had scratched out.
