PUSS IN BOOTS JR.
' Now In the story before this I left off Just as Pass Junior knocked, upon tbe gate of a stately castle. Well, after he had knocked three times it wag opened and the porter 6ald: “What do you wish, Sir Cat?” for when he saw the golden feather in our little traveller's cap, he thought Puss was of royal blood. “I am seeking adventure,” replied Puss Junior. “Is the lord of this castle wltihin?” “He is Indeed,” replied the porter, “but at the moment he, is mnch disturbed,” and then, all of a 6udden, the lord himself appeared. “Another of my golden apples has been stolen,'’ he cried, and then he looked at Puss. “Well, I a’m glad I have only lust arrived,” said Puss with a grin, “otherwise you might think I was the thief.” “No, Indeed,” said the lord of the castle, “I should never have thought that. But, come with ms to my orchard, and I will show you my wonderful golden apples.” “I once saw a tree that boro silver fruit,” said Puss as he followed the lord of the castle. “Do you remember the tree I,ittle-Two-eyes had?” But the lord of tlie castle was so intent upon counting ‘the golden apples that he did not reply. So Puss did r.oi repeat his question, but walked under one of the trees, and wxiuld you believe if, an apple on a low hanging bough fell off and stuck on the golden feather in Puss Junior's cap. And when the lord of the castle saw this he was so surprised that he <Ud not know what to do.

ver bird saw that golden feather, and it shone like a fame, It was so dazzling she dropped the golden apple. And then the sank to the ground, for her wings would not carry her farther. “Do not kill me. Sir Cat,” she cried. “Your golden feather burns like fire. I will promise to steal no more apples.” “Will you bring back tbe one you stole last night,” asked Puss, and tbe bird replied: "Surely I will, if you take away your golden feather, for It blinds my eyes.” So Puss hid his feather under his coat and pretty soon the silver bird flew away and by and by she returned bringing in her beak the stolen apple. And In the next story yon shall hear what the lord of the castle did for Puss.— Copyright, 1920. (To Be Continued.)

The seers predict that there Is a menacing influence that seems to threaten the high ambitious of women, who may be deceived Into the appearance of achieving reforms never accomplished. During the coming weeks there may be many violations of law that will be condoned, but sever* rockonlng Is indicated for all who evade their civic duty. Again Increase of crime Is foreshadowed and It would seem that robbery Is encouraged by the rule of the stars that
is believed to Increase covetousness and greed. A teacher who will gain a large following Is prophesied as one sent to point the way to national advancement. - Japan comes under a planetary sway making for benefits of various sorts from this country. Persons whose birthdate it Is may enter into costly litigation which will be unfortunate. The next year in life may bring many tests of wisdom and common sense. Children born on this day are likely to be restless and fond of change. These subjects of Virgo may meet many vicissitudes, but they will have power to overcome them-
