PUSS IN BOOTS JR.
“Fairy Land is a strange place,” said Pnss to himself as he traveled along on his big horse. And after a while he came to a queer little hut. And when he knocked at the door, for he was hungry and wished for something to eat, a little old woman opened it and salil: “What do you wish, little traveler?” "Something to eat,” said Puss. "And some oats for my horse if you have them.” And then the little old woman went out to her stable and gave the horse some oats and took Puss inside her hut and gave him food, and then she got out her spinning wheel and said: “Now, tell mo one of j-our adventures, Sir Cat, for I see you are a traveler.” “I have journeyed all through Mother Gcfose Land," replied Puss, and he crossed his legs and curled his whiskers while he tried to think of a story to tell her. “One day, while I was traveling,” Puss began, “I met Yankee Doodle Dandy a-riding on Ills pony, and when I jumped up on his horse he wasn't ail aloney!” And this funny little verse made the old woman laugh, for Bhe didn't think that a oat, even one who wore red top hoots,

could .make up poetry as he went along. And It does seem marvelois§o me that Puss could do It, for I n*er heard of a cat who was a poet. “Well, what did you do after that?” asked the old woman. “Oh, we rode along until we came to a town called Norwich,” answered Puss. “That’s the place where the Man in the Moon who came down too soon wanted to go, you know; ony lie went by the south and burned his mouth by eating cold plum porridge.” And this made the old woman laugh still harder, for she couldn’t see how cold porridge would burn one’s mouth, and neither do I and neither do ypu, and the only reason I can think that maybe It did was because the porridge was made In Mother Gooso Land, and some things there are certainly very queer, indeed ! And just then there came a tap at the door of the hut, and when the old woman opened it, a funny little man, dressed in red with a peaked hat on his head, stepped inside. “Good woman,” he said, and he took

ARTIST PAINTS FINE PICTURES Takes Keen Joy in His Work Since Relief From Nervous Attacks.
Mr. V. 11. Mohler has an art studio at 433 East Michigan street, where a feature of the work consists of finished crayon and free hand oil portraits. To produce the artistic work that this studio turns out requires not only a high degree of talent, but real interest and enthusiasm for the work. If there is any one in Indianapolis in doubt about the quality of the Mohler art, it would be worth their time to drop in there to see the exhibits, and we are privileged to say here that the studio is open to visitors. As stated above, this sort of work requires real heart Interest, and not long ago Mr. Mohler became very much disturbed because his work, instead of being a pleasure, was seemingly becoming a burden to him. Asa matter of fact, developments proved, his system had gotten out of order. “I was extremely nervous and very weak,” he says. “I was able to get very little sleep at night. Weak spells would come over me and it was all I could do to get around, to say uothing about working. “Just nt this time I noticed Pepgen sd highly recommended and it struck me that this was what I needed. That proved to be the case. Pepgen fixed me up very nicely. The weakness has left me entirely, my nerves are steadied and I Bleep soundly all night. “I know from experience that Pepgen is a good system builder, and I shall always have a good word for Pepgen." MUSTARD RIGHTLY USED IS A QUICK RELIEF FOR PAIN

A good mustard liniment, is made by adding red pepper, menthol, ammonia and oil of sassafras to ordinary table mustard. If you have rheumatism, neuralgia, lumbago or muscular soreness, rub this liniment on the affected part when you go to bed and you will scarcely feel the pain In the morning. You can buy this liniment already prepared under the name of Pepgen Liniment, nt any first-class drug store. It can be used either internally or externally. Internally, it is valuable for coughs and colds, but when taken Internally it must be diluted with water. Asa gargle, when mixed with warm water, it is a relief for sore throat, and sore gums. Owing to its multitude of uses, it is One of the most universal of family remedies. For cuts, burns and sorea. apply a small portion of the liniment and allow it to dry on the surface without rubbing. For headaches, rub on forehead, back of neck and on the tempts. Don’t forget the name. Ask for Pepgen Liniment. You can be sure It Is properly prepared.—Adv.
GOOD NEWS ALSO TRAVELS ALONG Bad news travels fast, according to the old sjying, and it is a fact. But It is also a fact that sometimes good news travels along, and this is illustrated In the statement of Mrs. Harriet Brown, who lives at 527 East North street, Indianapolis. She says that a friend recommended Pepgen to her because she was in a generally rundown condition and suffering from such extreme nervousness that she could get very little sleep. “Since taking Pepgen,” says Mrs. Brown, “my nerves are once more feeling great. I sleep fine. “I have recommended Pepgen to several of my friends because I am sure it will benefit them.” Mrs. Brown evidently believes that one good turn deserves another, so having heard of Pepgen from a friend she passes the good news on ;o others.—Adv.
