Otp COMPETITION IDEA GIVING WAY Credit Man Bespeaks Business Co-operation. ”Th* old Idea of vtetonn. cut-throat competition among businesses In allied lines baa given wav to a broader and saner plan of friendly co-operation,” said Lawrence G. Holmes, general secretary of the Indianapolis Association of Credit Men, in an address on the subject of “Trade Group Conferences" at the weekly luncheon of the association at th Clay pool hotel. “This, undoubtedly,” he continued, 'ls one of the most Important factors in the steady growth of the United States to a place of first importance In the commerce of the world.” Several of the local associations throughout the country, he added, have adopted the group conference idea, which originated at the convention of the national association, and the officers of the national association were so impressed by the success of these conferences that they have decided to recommend to the local associations throughout the country that some such Idea be incorporated in the programs for the state conventions. In outlining methods for organizing group conferences, he suggested that It will probably be advisable to have two or more similar groups unite at first, then gradually reorganize in smaller, closer groups.

There Is a villain, a scion of one of the wealthy families of the city, and he covets the governess. His attempts to get rid of Trotter and secure thi. girl provide a great deal of excitement, and his plots cause some of the adventurous elements of the story. The play is from the book by George Barr McCutchen, and Is full of romance, adTentnre and realism, with a fine love story that effectually smoothes off the rough places. You will like this picture.
