Former Resident Face Neglect Charge Louis McConnell, former manager of the University club, today was under $1,300 bond calling for his appearance before Judge Lahr of the Juvenile court on a charge of child neglect, court attaches announced today. McConnell was arrested in Chicago and returned to this city, but the trial date has not been fixed. He was arrested last fall with a woman giving her name as Gertrude Newman of Chicago. At that time he was charged with neglecting his children and the woman charged with contributing to delinquency. Both cases were continued Indefinitely. White’s Trial July 12 in Criminal Court Francis Marlon White, 17, charged with the brutal murder of John Perry Aughinbach last February in his little grocery in the western part of the city, will be tried July 12, according to an announcement made today by Judge James A. Collins of the criminal court. Sixty-two defendants who have recently been indicted will be arraigned Monday, and of that number nineteen are charged with vehicle stealing. “This is one of the largest arraignments ever slated during the aix years I have been on the bench,” Judge Collins said today.
