■EXAS MOHAIR, fWOOL GROWERS UP AGAINST IT Woblem Is to Finance Holding of Product for Better MarketingO ASK RESERVE BANK AID SAN ANTONIO, Tex., June 18.—Wool and mohair growers of Texas are facing a serious situation in the matter of not being able to finance the holding ol their season's product until better marketing conditions prevail, according to sentiments expressed by more than sissy men, who are prominently Identified with the industry, which has Just been held here. The purpose of the meeting was to draft a formal appeal to the federal reserve bank to rescind Its recent ordei restricting money credits. The wool now in storage represents the entire spring clip. Advances have been made on all ot wool to the producers by banks ftn'd warehouse companies, It Is pointed oat. These loans are now falling due and must he met. Mills, the growers say, are virtually out of the market at the present time, and unless some means of tiding the growers over the present emergency Is found that tlmy will bo forced to take losses that will be ruinous to the industry. AND THE TRAFFIC SERVICE IS BAD. The situation. It Is asserted. Is further complicated by the congestion or ir/lroad traffic all over the country. The growers contend that even though the mills were willirg to take their wooi they would be unable to get It to market owing to the inability of the railways to move the clip to market. Asa means of relieving the situation federal reserve bank is asked to declare wool and mohair raising an essential industry and to encourage member banks to deal liberally in warehouse receipts for these products. The wool men assert that the wool market is technically sound and that as soon as the present financial depression passes mills will re-enter the market on a large scale and that there will be a ready market for their pyjduct at satisfactory prices. All were unanimous In their belief that present conditions were only temporary and that the market would recover after a brief flurry. “There are 16,000.000 pounds of wool and mohair stored at the wool growing centers of Texas," said C. B. Scales of Del Rio, who presided at the meeting. “While the market Is a little strained at this time, the country need* every pound of this wool. “At present there is no means of getting the product to Boston, where nearly all Texas wool is marketed, owing to the inability of the railroads to handle it. SATS CASE NEVER BEFORE SO ACUTE. “The government is giving aid to the wheat growers and other producers In

the country, and we feel sure that when the condition confronting our industry la understood we will have no difficult in obtaining the necessary financial aid to tide us over the present emergency. “Our case has never been so acute before. “There are many merchants, bank and warehouse companies that can not possibly carry the great supply they now have on hand on unless they receive help from the government. “If special arrangements could be made for moving the wool now in the warehouses we believe our greatest problem would be solved." To Remove First Signs of Old Age "The Infallible first sign of age Is the sagging cheek muscles,” says Mme, Cavallerl, whose fame as a beauty culturlst Is scarcely less than that as a songstress. "These are more difficult and serious to treat than wrinkles,” she continues. “The sagging muscles indicate they have grown too weak to remain In place; they must he assisted, strengthened.” The best way to strengthen them Is by bathing the face In a simple lotion made by dissolving an ounce of pure powdered saxollte in a half pint of witch hazel. This creates a freer circulation to the parts, besides causing muscles and skin to contract.
