MANAGER GIVES RETROSPECT OF PLAY SEASON ■v . Indianapolis Has Had Many High Class Performers, Says "Nelson Trowbridge. FINAL BILL AT KEITHS (It is interesting to know what a manager of a theater thinks of the 1919-20 legitimate theatrical season in Indianapolis, and in the following article Nelson G. Trowbridge, manager of the Murat theater, discusses and gives hia own ideas.—The Dramatic Editor.) By NELSON O. TROWBRIDGE. WITH the closing of the theatrical season of 1919 1920 this month and looking back upon the attractions that have been seen here during the last nine months, it is especially interesting to note that there were more musical comedies n than any other class of attractions. There were thirty-eight musical attractions presented at the Shubert Murat and English's opera house the last season. Comedies came next, there being twen-ty-six given during the season. Drama Is evidently losing Its foothold as during the entire theatrical season only thirteen were presented at the two first-class theaters. It is intereteing to note the six best attractions given during the theatrical year and the six worst attractions. Also, who were the principal actors and actresses seen here and as compared with other cities of its size. Indianapolis haring two first-ciass theaters, had many more attractions and stars than were seen in other cities. A list of the musical attractions presented is as follows: “Sunshine." "The Passing Show of 1918,” "Tumble In.” "She's a Good Fellow.” “Little Simplicity.” “The Lady In Reel.” “Gloriana.” “Pcottl Grand Opera Company.” “Tillie's Nightmare,” “Listen Lester.” "Going I'p.” "Somebody's Sweetheart.” "Fiddlers Three.” “The Rainbow Girl,” “The Velvet Lady.” “Robin Hood.” “Chu Chin Chow.” “Hitohy Koo,” “La.
