HUNDREDS FALL IN CARRANZA’S RUNNING FIGHT Rebels Gradually Closing in on Fugitive President, Says Vera Cruz Report. NEPHEW AVIATOR DIES VERA CRUZ. May 14. Carranza forces hae suffered several hundred casualties in fighting in the region of Hacienda Tamrir. state of Puebla, in the last forty eight hoars, according to reports here today. Coroner Robinson ordered an autopsy and said that death was caused by acute alcoholism, but that further investigation would be made to determine if the drink contained wood alcohol. Toner and McHugh, were found by bicycle officers Cooney and Gibbons, in the rear of Myrtle Lowe's home, 828 South West street. They had a fight, the poik-e were told, and had been with Sullivan. The two men were in such a condition from drink that they were sent to the City hospital. Sullivan had visited the drug store of Dr. John M. Rhodes, SO2 South Wpst street, early in the day and had complained of being ill, but later lie told the physician he was feeling better. After he left the drug store the police believe he probably drank more of the liquor said to contain wood alcohol.
