Funeral Saturday of Train Victim, 87 The body of 3. W. Carter, S7. of 3015 North Capitol avenue, who was killed by a train near Frances, Ind., early yesterday morning, will be taken to Danville. Ind., for burial. The aged man left bis home without telling relatives be was going out of the city. It is believed he got off au Illinois Central train some distance out of Indianapolis and that in walking on the track he was struck by a freight train. Mr. Carter had made his home for three years with hi* brother-in-law. Dr. G. W. Seaton. He was a civil war veteran and retired farmer, and was interested lu several banking institutions. Finds Husband Dead in Chair Coroner Robinson today started an investigation into the death of Charles Kelly, <526 Cincinnati street. Mrs. Kelly found her husband sitting In a chair and when he did not answer her she discovered he was dead. Death is thought to have been due to heart disease.

Test Croker’s Mind on Children’s Plea WEST PALM BEACH. Fla.. April I. Richard Croker, one time Tammany boss, was to be examined by alienists today following the issuance of a temporary injunction by the Palm Beach county court prohibiting him from transferring or disposing of his property. The injunction was granted on petition of Croker’s two sons and daughter, who claimed he was mentally incompetent and was being unduly influenced by his present wife. The Croker children plan to ask for appointment of a conservator for Croker’s estate, estimated at $10,000,000. Armenian Mandate Offered to League LONDON, Aoril I.—The supreme council has offered the mandate over Armenia to the league of nations, it was understood here today. The mandate would include the republic of Erlvan and adjoining territory, with an outlet to the Black sea.
