The Right Thing at the Right Time By MART MARSHALL 8. DUFFEE. V J In the Library The child brought up In our city schools usually learns the lesson of library etlquet. In the children's department at the library the child who converses aloud soon learns that If he continues to do this be may no longer remain. He knows, too, that he must not stand before the drawers of the card-catalogue, but take tbe drawer he wnnts to a table or ledge ando get the information he wishes. Doubtless talking is the chief offense of adult library readers. The offender usually forgets that a library Is & public Institution and that there is no excuse for his disturbing the other readers by conversation. If you are In doubt as to the methods of getting to work In a public library go to one of-the librarians. There are always some novices in library methods who are in deadly terror of tbe librarians, and hence they ask lots of questions of other patrons, who, however pushed they may be for time, are thus forced to do what the librarians are there for and are glad to do whenever asked. Should she wear a hat and coat?” It would not b# exactly bad form, but It certainly would not be done by those who are regarded as leaders In social matters. I think, however, If you are going to take the little girl to the church to witness an evening ceremony It would be most suitable to dress her In a fine white frock, possibly hand embroidered or lace-trlmmed. white shoes and stock logs. At this time of the year she might wear a coat to the church, but the '-oat might be removed. In many churches It is customary for all women and .even little girls to wear some sort of heed covering. A dainty lltjle embroidered or Uce trimmed bonnet would be very
