LEGION WOMEN "TO ORGANIZE INDIANA UNITS Adjutant Newgent Notifies All Posts of Auxiliary Movement. 12 CHARTERS ARE ASKED With applications for the formation of twelve American legion women's auxiliary units approved, L. Russell Newgent. state adjutant of the American legion, today sent out instructions to every pose in the state urging the immediate organization of auxiliary units. Bylaws for the auxiliaries have been approved bv the national executive committee and Membership buttons to be worn by the women have been provided. The twelve posts that have applied for charters for auxiliaries are: Cass county post No. 60. Logansport Robert E. Kennington post No. 34; Thomas F. Ryan post No. 116: Bruce P. Robinson post No. 133; St. Mihiel post No. 148, Raymond E. Templeton post No. 126, and tte Marne River post No. 61, Indianapolis; Victory post No. 70. Shelbyville; Bewey Blgg3 post No. 29, Rensselaer; Gary Memorial post No. 17: Lewis Monroe post No. 53, Elwood, and Zionsville post No. 79, Zionsville. LARGE ENROLLMENTS ARE LOOKED FOR. The Logansport post informed Mr. Newgent that it expects to have a membership of 600 in the auxiliary and the Gary post will have an enrollment of between 300 and 400. The national and state officials of the legion have been, working out plans for the formation of auxiliaries ever since they were authorized by the Minneapolis convention. Many posts in the state

Illinois will be permitted to charge after April 1, according to the present outlook. For blaming the government for indifference, Maj. A. A. Sprague II and Mrs. Joseph T. Bowen, heads of the state fair price committee, have resigned. It was announced today. This virtually means the collapse of the commission. Maj.
