"Having placed his servants aas ministers of lighten strategic pulpits and influential educational institutions, Satan is in a position to effectually spread hs all over the world," said Rev. *J. C, McCaslin, pastor of Mansur Park Methodist Protestant church, Sunday night. “People who depart from the true faith become easy victims of ipen and women who come with a gre&t show of scientific scholarship and lead them Into the mysteries of psychic research or Into some dark room where they are made to believe that they communicate with departed loved ones," he_ continued.
TRICK OF DEVIL POINTED ODT. “A favorite doctrine of Satan Is that there Is no personal devil. Quite a trick It Is for the old boy to hide the Identity of his Satanic Majesty behind a cunning denial of his existence." Rev. McCaslin assailed all cults who seek to lead people away from simple teachings of faith. “ ‘Eat. drink, dance and have a great time—there is no hell,' is a pet doctrine of Satan,” the pastor said. Dr. Benjamin Young of St. Louis, addressing the Meridian Forum at the Merldiau Street M. E. church last night, spoke on doubt of some people to the existence of Christ, JESI’B REAL. REASON SHOWS. “Science, history and reason all prove that Jesus was a real character," said Dr. Young. Simple applications of the teachings of Christ would solve nil of our present day problems, he declared. "God pity the man who does not see the need of Christ," said Rev. Frederick E. Taylor, at the First Baptist'church. "The important qpestioh that comes to every person is wherewithal bo can cleanse his ways,” the pastor continued. "It matters not how good a moral life one has led or Is leading this vital question comes.”
