HURL BOTTLES IN BERLIN CAFE Hohenzollern Prince Insults Members of French Mission. BERLIN'. March B.—Refusal of two French officers attached to the French mission here to stand when “Deutschland Über Alles” was played in the dining room of the Hotel Adlou Saturday night precipitated a general fight in which Prince Joachim Albrecht, relative of the former kaiser, is said to have been the aggressor. The Frenchmen, Capts. Klein and Rooughevin weTe badly battered by the Germans. They were cut and bruised by bottles, glasses and candles hurled at them. Waiters finally succeeded in escorting the French officers from the dining room. Prince Joachim Albrecht, witnesses said, followed his usual custom in asking the orchestra to play the national song. The French party, consisting of the two captains, accompanied by another Frenchman and wcjman, did not arise. “Up, Up.” Joachim shouted and other German diners joined in his command. A shower of dishes immediately hurted toward the French officers. When the two captains attempted to defend themselves, other Germans joined the prince’s party tn beating the Frenchmen, crying “out with the pigs.” The Fiench mission upheld the two officers, declaring since the occasion was not official no recognition of the German air was required. It has not been decided, members said, whether the French will ask civil or military action against the attacking Germans. It was reported today that Joachim and his party were put oat of the hotel after the fight. Prince Joachim again appeared in the dining room last night and appealed to Herr Zisser, head waiter, for a "good table.’’ “Sorry, sir, bnt you can not be served here,” replied the waiter. “What’s that?” roared Prince Joachim. “You know what It means," replied the waiter, “l’ou were responsible for what happened Saturday night- You will never be served in this hotel again, so >cm need not come here. The waiters and cooks will quit work If we attempt to serve you.’’ Prince Joachim, very red in the face, departed hastily. Prince Joachim's wife. Princess Marie Augusta, is now suing her husband for divorce because of his wild night life and his many escapades like that of Saturday night.
