ATTEND CONFAB 1 OF CREDIT MEJf Indiana Association Party Off for Muncie Session. Eighty-three members of the Indiana Credit Men’s association left the city at 7:45 o’clock this morning to' attend an annual conference of the association in Muncie, Tnd. J, H. Tregoe. secretary-treasurer of the National Association of Credit Men, also left the city for Mancie this morning. He accompanied a large delegation from Evansville. A committee of local credit men started a movement to have the 1921 convention of the association held in Indianapolis. Kahn Company Buys Cleveland Firm The Kahn Tailoring Company of In 'dlanapolls has bought the capita! stock, business and assets of the English Woolen Mills Company of Cleveland, 0., it became known today*. The English Woolen Mills Company operates a chain of stores in a number of large cities and also Is engaged In the manufacture of woolen fabrics. The new- property is to be operated as a separate concern and the number of stores will be Increased. FT. WAYNE REINS GIVE IF BODY. FT. WAWNE, Ind., Jan. 23. The ruins of the Well Brothers fire have given up the body of Henry Ranney, 70. an employe, who b3d been missing. The body was found by firemen yesterday. He is believed to have been overcome by smoke and trapped on the third, floor of the building. The Are loss is estimated at $:;25,000.

Because of the distance of the house from the nearest plug, the firemen were compelled to lay about 2,000 feet of hose. SOCIALIST CASE TO COVER WEEK N. Y. Assembly Committee Begins Real Work Tuesday. ALBANY, N. Y., Jan. 23—Indications today were that the case to be presented against the five suspended socialist assemblymen would require all of next week. WOMEN ORGANIZE TO BOOST LOW DEN Chicago Move Launched in G. O. P. Candidate’s Behalf. i CHICAGO. .Tan. 23.—Mrs. Fletcher Dobyns today began the organization of women to push the campaign of Gov. Lowden for the republican presidential nomination. - Mrs. Dobyns was appointed to handle the women's campaign for Lowden. She has been identified with political activities in Illinois since women were granted suffrage in the state. Gen. Leonard Wood returned to Chicago yesterday, following his trip through the east. It was said by Wood supporters here that Wood gained the support of many men prominent in party councils during his eastern tour, including Henry L. Stimson, George Henry Payne, George W. Perkins, Frank A. Munsey and William Loeb Jr., for seven years private secretary to Col. Roosevelt. TIRK CABINET TO QUIT. Webb, prominent flour salesman of this city for many years, wdll be held at TO o’clock Saturday morning at the late home at 1322 Belle fontaine street. Burial will be at Crown Hill cemetery and Rev. W. O. Wood of Ihe Edgewood M. E. church 'will officiate. Mr. Webb died Wednesday evening at a local hospital following an operation for appendicitis.
