Cloverdale, acting secretary of the American Farm Burreau Federation at Ames, la., as follows: “We are in favor of anti-strike legislation generally in regard to railroads or other matters of public interest.” The message was sent in response to a request from the national acting secretary that the Indiana federation report its views on the question in order that the concensus of opinion of the agriculturists of the nation might be laid before congress. Indiana farmers are not only against strikes, but also lockouts, favoring arbitration of all labor disputes, William Bosson, treasurer of the state federation, said. A meeting of the permanent live stock committee of the state federation will be held at headquarters nea.t Monday. Discussion of the establishment of a cooperative Commission company to handle live stock is one of the important matters on the program.
