! The laws and journals of the last general assembly vf this State, were received at the clerk's office in this place, last week, and are ready for delivery to those entitled to receive them. Adjournment of Congress. The resolution of the House of Representatives, proposing an adjournment of both Houses on the 30th of June, was taken up in the Senate on the 9th inst., and amended by striking out 30th June and inserting 30th instant, and inlhat form adopted. So both Houses have agreed to close the present session on the 30th inst.
FOURTH OF JULY. At a mooting of the citizens of Lawrence-burgh, held at the Hotel- of Mr. Hunt, on the evening of the 11th inst. for the purpose of making arrangements for celebrating the 57th anniversary of American Independence, Judge 31'Pike was called to the chair and G.
