Schools enrolled in the Educational Program participate with free Indiana Academic Standards compliant lessons in the classroom with the additional opportunity to follow-up lessons with a Study Trip to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway grounds in April and May for onsite programming incorporating the lessons learned in the classroom in such subjects as Social Studies, Language Arts, Science and Math.500 Festival volunteers for the Education Program will play a critical role in educating more than 15,000 Hoosier fourth-graders. Volunteers are needed for the following Study Trip dates at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway: April 26 and 27. Volunteers are needed each day from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. and more than 40 volunteers will be utilized each day.
