Holiday Mart More than 100 merchants from across the country will showcase their unique array of products during the 33 rd Annual Holiday Mart Oct. 29 through Nov. 2 in the Marsh Blue Ribbon Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The latest trends in women's clothing, home and garden, jewelry, holiday apparel, children's clothing and gifts, gourmet food products, culinary treats and specialty gift items will be featured. Proceeds will benefit women and children’s programs in Central Indiana. Ticket prices are $12 at the door or $10 in advance at all Indianapolis area Marsh supermarkets, St. Vincent Hospital and Corner Gourmet. For more information visit www.jlindy.org. Indy filmmaker competes for 20 th Century Fox Searchlab Indianapolis filmmaker Shari Lynn Himes is a finalist for the 20 th Century Fox Searchlab via

the Los Angeles based Rockstone Foundation’s Urban-American Filmmakers Workshop. The two-day intensive workshop and networking event tours seven major cities and is expected to reach approximately 3,000 urban filmmakers and film lovers each year. Himes was chosen based on her short film, ’’A Song for Jade." Fox Searchlab is Fox Searchlight Pictures’ incubator for emerging filmmakers. Walker Lounge now open The Madame Walker Theatre Center presents Jazz on the Avenue, a longstanding program in the traditional cabaret setting, each Friday evening from 6 to 10 p.m. A new feature of the Walker Theatre Center jazz programming is the Walker Lounge on the ground floor of the Walker building.
