Why did you have the desire to teach? As the Bible says in Ephesians 4:11, t rue teachers are called and I was called into education. I also was blessed that my mother was a great educator. What has been the most rewarding thing you’ve experienced as a teacher? I love to see children who overcome tremendous obstacles and achieve beyond their expectations.
What has been the most challenging aspect of teaching? The most challenging aspect of teaching is to see students who enter a school and are smothered by their social and economic status or anything that makes them think they can’t achieve. In the future, what changes would you like to see in schools? I would like to see African-American children treated with the same respect and provided with the same resources that theircounterparts receive - particularly African-American boys.
