Students and parents will have the opportunity to talk with representatives from more than 50 Historically Black Colleges and Universities at Crispus Attucks Junior High School. The 15th Annual Indiana Black Expo Circle City Classic Golf Outing takes place at the Golf Club of Indiana in Lebanon Friday, Oct. 4 with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Indianapolis Colts Classic Coaches Luncheon is set for 11 a.m. Friday at the Indiana Convention Center’s 500 Ballroom. The program features comments from both college head coaches and the presentation of the 2002 Bank One Major Taylor Award to Mike

Davis, head men ’ s basketball coach at Indiana University. The award is a tribute to African-American athletes, coaches, athletic administrators and officials who have made significant local and national contributions to youth while encouraging excellence among future generations. Friday, from 4-6 p.m., the Classic Pep Rally takes place at the Indiana White River State Park Celebration Plaza, just outside the NCAA’s national headquarters. The event features the marching bands from both participating schools and is free to the public. Friday night events include the Coors Friday-Nite Cabaret featuring Average White Band, Will Downing and The Whispers. Additional Friday evening events include the black-tie, invitation-only Gala2002 in the Indiana Roof Ballroom, the HOT 96.3 Explosion, the Comedy Jam and the Gospel Music Explosion.
