Spirit & Place Festival displays city pride and culture

The Hilbert Foundation’s grant kicks offSt. Vincent Foundation’s capital campaign to raise $6 million to help finance construction of the new St. Vincent Children’s Hospital of Indiana. The emerigency department will be on the first floor of the four-story .children’s hospital, scheduled to open in late 2002. The new emergency department, which will be named the Hilbert Pediatric Emergency Department in recognition of the Hilbert Foundation gift, will be ^the first emergency department in ^the state where care is specifically .tailored for the pediatric patient. ,The department will have 18 pediatric beds, 24-hour emergency care by attendi ng level physicians, an outpatient observation area for .ambulatory care and overnight accommodations where parents can stay with their children. Although St. Vincent currently offers pediatric health services, it became clear that a separate building, a dedicated home for pediatric services, was needed to facilitate the growth and expansion of its children’s health care delivery system. Hospital campus for the new $24 million hospital. Postpartum depression support “Beyond Baby Blues” is a free support group for mothers experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression. The support group will begin Nov. 1. The first group will meet 5:30-7 p.m. Thursdays through Dec. 20 at Wishard’s Primary Care Center. There will be no meeting Nov. 22.
