Fashion show to benefit breast cancer awareness underway

Kathy Jordan, vice-president of communications for the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever player Alicia Thompson join the American Cancer Society in the battle against breast cancer. Jordan and Thompson will be on'hand during the American Cancer Society’s Breast Health Awareness Fashion show Friday to heighten the public’s knowledge about the disease. Thompson serves as honorary chairperson and will be honored during the event as Jordan, a breast cancer survivor, serves as the keynote speaker. . Under the theme of winning wi{h strides, the event begins at 11 a.m. at the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. More than 500 people are expected to attend the charity event that helps generate funds to provide free mamograms for underserved women in central Indiana and produce educational literature about breast cancer. , Event organizers say the disease does not have to be a
