He added that he will instill a winning attitude, which will not only be seen on the playing field and in the classroom, but also by national onlookers. “We want to infect and affect as many children as we can get our hands on,” Perkins said. There are currently 2,300 students enrolled at the school. “In three to five years this will be a model program for the city, state and country to point to in terms of how urban sports programs should be managed. “Our good athletes will be very

He’s a positive asset for us.” “This is probably one of the more exciting and new things that can happen to the IPS athletic program,” said Joseph Wynn director of the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation. “It offers a great opportunity for productive partnerships to be established.
