Step & Stand Tall Blues The Asante Children's Theatre will present an exciting musical exploration of the blues and its significance in the history of Black America at the Indiana Historical Society, 450 W. Ohio St. Opening night is Thursday, June 15 at 8 p.m. Tickets for Step & Stand Tall Blues are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance and group ticket purchases are $6. First week performances will be presented on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 16,17 and 18. Second week performances are June 22, 23,24 and 25. A black tie/ethnic attire gala celebration will follow the Sunday performance. Tickets for the gala are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Celebrate Juneteenth The Juneteenth Jamboree, a celebration of African-American freedom will be held on June 17, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Children’s Museum. Admission and parking is free. Entrance is at 30th and Illinois streets. Jazz in the Park “A Taste of Jazz in the Park” (with a serving of gospel), will be held on July 29 from 5 td 11 p.m. in Military Park at the comer of New York and West streets. Tickets are $10 at the gate and $8 in advance. Tickets may be purchased at TicketMaster locations and Clowes Hall box office beginning June 19.
