SPECIAL PROGRAMS PRIOR LEARNING ASSESSMENT (PLA): This program evaluates extensive lifelong learning of adults and grants college credits for college-level learning. Learning is documented by the student and reviewed by experts. Para-professionals and professionals usually have success in attaining college credits in various areas. ADDICTIONS: The Psychology Division offers Addictions and Counseling degrees with special courses designed for specific ethnic needs. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION: This program offers the Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate as required for child care providers, and also offers a degree. Special emphasis is placed on determining developmental and perceptual problems in children who need interventions to prevent future educational problems. EDUCATION/TEACHER CERTIFICATE: Martin University offers teacher certification in conjunction with the University of Indianapolis. Individuals interested in teacher certification should contact the Office of Co-Institutional Programs at543-3861.
