Publisher collects Black e-mail addresses An organized effort is being made to consolidate all e-mail addresses into one directory. According to T.V. Floyd, publisher of the “National Black E-mail Address Book,” cybersurfers on the internet should make sure that their friends can find them once they climb aboard the information superhighway. Thousands awarded for Indy housing The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis announced the award of $3.44 million in Affordable Housing Program funds to 31 projects for the construction or renovation of housing for low- and very low-income families. Almost $775,913 will be used in three projects in Indianapolis to help fund 153 homes. Minority businesses get better access to financing Indiana’s minority-owned businesses will have a greater access to financing as a result of recent legislation that expands the state’s Capital Access Program, announced Lt. Gov. Frank O’Bannon. The CAP enables banks to make loans to businesses that may not meet traditional lending require-

ments.

Unemployment insurance claims increase There was an increase in the number of regular unemployment insurance claims filed in Indiana during the week ending Sept. 16, according to the Department ol Workforce Development. A total of 28,152 unemployment claims were filed during the week. This was up 1,557 from the preceding

week.
