By Fallon Coleman St Thomas Aquinas Recorder Intern Recently, complaints of unsanitary conditions and poor service have come from Taco Bell customers dissatisfied with particular branches of the franchise. Sixteen-year-old Alana Guynn went to Taco Bell on 38 street. ”lt was dirty, ” she said. ”The service was poor. Employees were confused and didn't know what they were doing.” According to Guynn, she went inside Taco Bell and did not leave until a half-hour later. She said the employees broke all regulatory rules in all aspects. *One employee flung dorito tortilla chips on the floor that was already contaminated with food. It looked as if it had been there for weeks.” She said another employee had on regular clothes instead of a uniform. He also had sandals on with no socks. *His fingernails and toe nails had dirt caked underneath the nails,” Guynn added. While she was in linefor approximately twenty minutes, Guynn had a chance to examine the place where she was going to order her food. ”What I saw was revolting,” she said. "There were soft drink lids in the decorative plants, on the counter and on the floor. The floor was filthy. And in the corner of the floor, I saw what looked to be potato salad.” The dessert was unsatisfactory as well as the entrees, according to Guynn. "I couldn't believe my eyes," Guynn said. "I decided that I had lost my hunger. Instead, my stepsister bought some cinnamon twists.” When receiving her twist, she said she they were stale and wet. 'The wait is entirely too long,” said Debbie Ladel, a customer at the same Taco Bell. "The place is nasty. It is sad because it is in a Black neighborhood,” Ladel said that 99 percent of the employees, including management who work at this Taco Bell, are Black. She added that they treat Blacks
