The purpose of the health conference is to educate the public on preventive health measures and encourage healthier lifestyles. Various workshops will also be planned that cover topics such as sexuality, relationships, stress/anger management and women and HIV/AIDS. Dr. P. Eric Abercrumbie, Ph. D., the director of ethnic programs and services and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of African American Studies at the University of Cincinnati, will be this year’s keynote speaker. Abercrumbie originated the annual “Black Mens Think Tank” which brings interested professionals and others from around the nation together to discuss and establish approaches to the environmental, social and economic hardships placed upon Black

males.

Dr. Rebera Elliott Foston, M.D., M.P.H., of Gary, Ind. is also a speaker at this years fair. Foston recently completed a four year term as the first female health commissioner for the city of Gary. She also directs the Foston Adolescent Care Center, a
