AARON GARNETT, Indianapolis, died April S. Graveside riles were held April 10 in Crown Hill Cemetery. He was the 3-monih-old son of Pearl Garnett and Paul Caston of Indianapolis. Survivors include a twin brother, Anthony Garnett; another brother, William Garnett; and grandparents, Maude L. Garnett, Frank and Lorine Caston.

HUBERT T. GRAY SR., 76, Indianapolis, died April 10. Funeral services were held April 14 in Boatright Funeral Home. He had been a laborer for the city of Indianapolis 10 years before retiring in 1972. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Waits Gray; thiee sons, Hubert T. Jr., James Edward Sr., and Ralph Maurice Gray; daughters, Jacqueline Grigsby and Janet Hampton; a brother, William T. Gray; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

DAVID RICHARDSON MILLS JR, 41. died April 12. Services were held April 14 in Stuart Mortuary Chapel. He had been a cook at Dobbs House Restaurant and Speedway Motor Lodge. Survivors include his mother, Iva Richardson; father, David R. Mills Sr.; five brothers, Dwight, James, Ahmed C., Loqman Ford and Ivan Morris: and six sisters, Deborah K. Thompson and Sharon, Maria A., Cassandra, Makeda and Khadijah Ford.

ROBERT LOUIS WRIGHT, 91. Indianapolis, died April 3. Funeral services were held April 7 in Bethel AME Church. Wright, a graduate of Wilberforce University who received his master’s from Bradley University, taught industrial arts for 36 years at Schools 42 and 87 before retiring. He previously he taught at Langston (Okla.) University and Dunbar High School, Okmulgee, Okla. He was a founding member of the Cosmo Knights Club and had been a Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 85 several years. Survivors include his wife, Georgia McMurry Wright; daughters, Georgia W. Taylor, Sylvia Compton; brother, Gus Wright; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

EDWARD L. BROOKS. 55, formerly of Indianapolis, died April 9 in Oakland, Calif., where he most recently resided. Funeral services were held April 15 in Grundy Memorial Chapel. An Army veteran of- the Korean War, Mr. Brooks had served the Navy for four years and the Army Reserve for 17 years. Survivors include a daughter. Tiffany Brooks; brothers, John L. and Eugene H. Brooks; and a sister, Gertrude Beeler.

ARTHUR C. “GODFATHER" JACKSON, 70, Indianapolis, died April 3. Last rites were held April 6 in Stuart Mortuary. Jackson, an Army veteran of World War II, worked 25 years at Eli Lilly & Company, retiring in 1981 as supervisor of environmental services. Survivors include his wife, Maurite Carter Jackson; a daughter. Jasmine Petliford; a son, Arthur Jackson Jr., and five grandchildren. DARRYL LOUIS WILLIAMS. 33, Indianapolis, died April 2. Funeral services were held April 7 in Stuart Mortuary Chapel. Williams had been a press metal workers II years at Chevrolet Truck and Bus Division of General Motors. Survivors include a daughter, Theresa A. Crabtree; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heywood Williams; five sisters, Theresa A. Tichenor, Valerie, Phyllis, Ruthanna, Beverly J., Arlene Williams; two brothers, Larry and James Williams; and grandmother, Anna Foreman.

ALBERT HARRIS JR., 49, Indianapolis, died April 12. Last riles were held April 15 in Freedom Temple Church of God i n Christ. A member of Spirit of Truth Church, Mr. Harris had been a core maker for Chrysler Corporation 10 years before retiring in 1974. Survivors include his wife, Voncille Knight Harris; two sons, Albert A. and Darrian C. Harris; six brothers, Robert, Sindy, Bennie, Willie, Bobby and Randy Harris; and seven sisters, Annie M. Irby, Classic Reynolds, Eloise Heildburg, Sarah Shanks, Dorothy Stovall, Minnie Evans and Ddoris Goodman. CAROLYN HYCHE EPPS, 66. Fairbanks, Alaska, died April «. Last rites were held April 15 in Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She had been a cashier for 7-11 stores here. NANCY JULIA JOHNSON BLAND, 69. In dianapolls, died April 3. Services were held April 8 in Stuart Mortuary. Mrs. Bland worked 14 years in the tea room at L.S. Ayres downtown, retiring as head cook in 1979. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Carl R. Bland; three daughters, Viltoria L. Tucker, Cecelia E. and Nadine G. Riley; two sons, John A. Jr. and Barry L. Smith; her mother, Anna B. Johnson; three sisters, Nora B. Goodwin, Katherine and Anna Marie Johnson; a brother, Augustus Johnson, and eight grandchildren.

JOHN R. "BOOTS" GRUNDY SR., 76. Indianapois, died April 6. Final riles were held April 10 in the Church of the First Born Saints. He had been a selfemployed landscaper prior to retirement in 1975. Survivirs include his wife, Margaret C. Wilson Grundy; sons, James M. Stanley and John R. Jr., Ernest O. and Roy R. Grundy; three daughters, Cheryl M. Pearson, Brenda D. Springfield and Delphia L. Faust; a brother, William J. Grundy; a sister, Minnie Alice Artis; 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Grundy Memorial Chapel was in charge of services.

WALTER ALEXANDER, Indianapolis, died April 6. Funeral services were held April 10 in Boatright Funeral Home. The 86-year-old former farmer, who retired in 1979, was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Survivors include a sister, Ella Davis.

OSBORNE R. MORRIS, 81, Indianapolis, died April 7. Final rites were held April 14 in Metropolitan Baptist Church. He was a forklift driver 27 years for Uniroyal Tire and Rubber Company, retiring in 1970. Survivors include his wife, Elsie S. Gwynn Morris; and two sisters, Anna L. Davis andCloM. Evans.

ALEXIS LOUISE COLMAN UTLEY, 43, Indianapolis, died April 9. Funeral services were held April 13 in Summers Northeast Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Utley, a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, had been a clerk at the U.S. Army Finance Center 10 years. Survivors include two daughters, Monique Davone Elliott and Stacy Renee Utley; a son, Hue Christopher Elliott Buckner; her mother, Doris Northington; and two grandsons.

DEMETRIUS ANTON WOODS, 2-month-old son of Rhonda L. Woods and Dujuan A. Clemons, died April 2. Services were held April 6 in Craig Funeral Home, with burial in New Crown Cemetery. Survivors in addition to the parents include a sister, Dawana Woods; grandparents, Robert L. Woods, Deborah Bond, Delores T. Polk and James Clemons; great-grandparents.
