LANDY WILLIAMS Following Divine Inspiration, Landy Williams, of Allen Chapel, got a group of men together, who like to sing. This inspiration began to spread and finally spread all over the Indiana Conference and into Ohio. This group of men, through monthly practice together, became the Indiana Conference A.M.E. Lay Male Chorus. The chorus ir made up of some of the best male voices in the Indiana Conference. It has given concerts in various cities in Indiana. The highest goal of the chorus is to present a chorus of 100 men at the Biennial Convention of the African Methodist Episcopal Lay Organization in Detroit in 1983. On Sunday, October 17, 1982, the Indiana Conference A.M.E. Lay Male Chorus will give its first Annual (Anniversary Concert) at Coppin Chapel A.M.E. Church, 3201 North Capitol Avenue. Union Baptist to observe Women's Day Women’s Day Services will be observed at Union Baptist Church, 1401 Shepard Street, Sunday, October 10. The 11:00 a.m. speaker will be Evangelist Virginia Wesley of the Church of the Living Cod, Temple #18, and the 3:30 p.m. speaker will be Mrs. Ora Bailey of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. DR. A MRS. E.D. BUTLER Second Baptist Church, 321 North Rogers, Bloomington, Indiana, will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the pastor and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. E.D. (Mary) Butler, Sunday, October 10, at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Butler has been in the ministry.for over 50 years, and is the founder of the Baptist Youth Camp, has licensed thirteen ministers, is the Recording Secretary for the National Educational Board, and Secretary for the Indiana State Missionary Baptist Convention.
