Happy Hour Cluh for the Mind members aren't having any »uppr<e6«ing of their friendly holiday spirit. Mime fJiinif they've always been w illing to share. A* in previous years, this year, under their industrious founder Mrs. Grace Burton, the members starred in two holiday specials, benefimaJ to them and the pubtie as well. First off was their annual services conducted Sunday. I December 13. at South Calvary Baptist Church, where the con genial Rev. Leo Sneed is pastor. Scheduled almost im mt lately afterwards was their special Christmas dinner. Sunday. December 20. in the Edwin CarHon Chaney Center at 2416 Sheldon. Til is was the 29th year for their seasonally uplifting ser vices, during which Rev, Sneed outdid himself extending greet mgs. courtesies and providing other acts of love especially for
the occasion.
Mrs. Ordeil Gibson was nothing less than gracious, serv ing as presiding officer for the event, ably assisted by program participants. They in eluded club members. The Gladys Green Singers. Irving ton First Baptist Church Choir. Mrs. Leo Sneed and Rev. A.W. Altway. who conducted mem
orial services.
A special segment was de voted to awards presentation and deserving recipients were Mrs. L.A. Manuel. Mrs. Orville Raine and Mrs. Willie L. Craig, given accolades in memory of their husbands, and the grand ioooooooopooooocfvboo
lady herself. Mrs. Burton, receiving a plague commending her for "caring" so much. Rounding out the celebration were remarks by Rev. ILL. Burton and South Calvary's pastor. Rev. Sneed. There were lovely gifts by Henrylee Shirefl and w*me just as nice by Mr. and Mrs. Hot hchiid Wolf. There was also special consideration by the finance committee, sparked by Douglas Kenner and Wilbert A. Ftnkton.

Parents are always look ing for an easy answer to the question of “What’s for lunch?” Whether you’re feeding youngsters at home or packing a brown bag, here’s an idea for a nutritious, inexpensive meal. At only about 50 cents a serving, Swanson Frozen Prepared Macaroni and Cheese supplies 30 percent of the U S. RDA of protein and 40 percent of the recommended amount of carbohydrates. Pop the macaroni and cheese into the microwave oven or conventional oven and spoon into a Thermos bottle.
