mmm PLANNER HOUSE'S Silver Strands Senior Citizens group took a page from the flapper era for their Thanksgiving gathering. The meal was traditional enough, what with turkey and all the trimmings. But the theme was "Gay Twenties," and the ladies and gents donned straw hats, bonnets and other wear of days-gone-by for their holiday and attending festivities. Several hundred persons joined in the celebration. Pictured are [from left, front) Lenora Southerland, Jessie
Beard, Sallie Moore, Addie Tipton; [2nd row) Mary Harrington, Theresa Hazelwood, Maggie Dorsey, Ollie Goodin, Hester Cousins; \3rd row] George Armstead, Pearl Meals and Jerry Welch. Silver Strands not pictured are Peryl Harris, chairman; Lenora Hamer, co-chairman; Alma Townsend, Ella Russell, Sarah Smith, Hattie Tyler, Juanita Scott, Pearl Hayden, Norman Mills, Ethel Bradley, Rosie Lee and Elizabeth Early.
