Womm fa Mad of Mtworiu More The purpose of this series o# articles it to foeus upon the need for networking especially for Women of Minority groups. I felt the necessity to restate our intentions for persons who were unable to read the initial article. Networking is not a new phenomenon -you can network even in a supermarket line. What's new about networking is the way women are capitalaang on their business connections and using them as a base from which to build organizations that connect them to other concerned women. This concept when property utilized will-offer rapport in coping with pertinent issues. The effects of women’s networks are direct and immediate. The Indiana Minority Women's Network has been the vehicle with which we are planning to colloetiveiy express our concerns regarding key issues and advocate change that we can implement immediately and effectively. Our network’s function is to supply information about people and issues that ordinarily an individual is not able to secure for herself. In order to meet the needs of all our minority women and their families, at the October 31. 1961 statewide meeting held in Gary. Indiana, we decided to restructure our organization. This new structure will give more women an opportunity to become actively involved in our endeavors. The uniqueness of this group nukes it possible for any woman that has a sincere interest in helping others as well as finding support and strength for herself through networking to join us! There are numerous issues we need to begin to address seriously and immediately as a group. To deal with our four designated major areas of concern passed down from the Regional Office to all State groups, we at the city level feel that the following organizational structure can be adopted to assure that our goals will be accomplished. Two of our most capable and talented network members worked very diligently to develop this organizational structure which was presented during our October 31, 1981 statewide meeting in Gary. Indiana. I wish to take this opportunity to publiciy thank them and acknowledge my appreciation of their commitment to the organization. Arlene Fitts Winfrey and Jatriee Gaiter, your time and efforts are sincerely appreciated and needed in the group. Although members have volunteered to play a part in making our new organizational structure work, we still need other people to work on all the committees. You can contact me and express your desire to help us in any capacity in which you may feel comfortable--you can just come and * network with us! As convenor of the Indiana Minority Women's Network and our local chapter. I would like to express my gratitufe for your interest and support thus far. I have received numerous telephone calls and letters responding to this article since I began writing a few weeks ago. This is just great-we welcome your comments, suggestions, and crittcisms! The next Local Chapter meeting will be held December 8, 1961 at Planner House. 2424 Northwestern Avenue, at 5 p.m. At 6 p.m. we will start our Networking (informal exchange of information and problems). Feel free to contact: Mary Ryder-Tayfer at 927-0155 or 927-0417 after 5 p.m.257-6865 OR Cindy Owens-Ffaumer Sense regarding meeting 925-4231 NEXT ARTICLE: Minority Women Express Concern About ‘The Grimes Incident.”

Let God be your guide.

PISCES

Speak up if you believe your loved one is wrong; For this is not a week to hold back what you feel. Be patient and optimistic about a cherished ambition. Also, accept conditions as they are, rather than allow yourself to fed frustrated. Budget your time, so that the maximum can be accomplished each working hour, this week. God understands, give love.

ARIES

This cycle is splendid for romance. Enjoy this week. You can be seriously considering seeking a job; make sure it's in your favor before you make a change. Be thrifty this week, no matter what you buy, make sure you are not paying too much. Try not being too picky with the mate and love ones. This is not a good time for drastic changes. Don't be manipulated with sex, trust God. TAURUS An in-few could be helpful this week. An enjoyable week, take it easy and go to a place of beauty, with love ones. You are a fixed sign, try bending more. Your energies are high and are generated by your happiness, be yourself. Be honest with yourself and God.

GEMINI

Be dependable, a good friend will be vexed if you are late for an important meeting, be on time, make it a point. Your thoughts will become clear the first of next week. If you are dealing with more than you can handle, find time for rest. A message may come that you have been wafting for. A good friend could be lost if you are unpleasant in your speech. God

is love.

CANCER Caution may be needed this week. If you want to keep peace, with love ones. Find something unusual to do with your time. This is an excellent week to bring out your creative energies. Plan some relaxing evening this week. You need some time alone. Talk to God. Do not let anyone else interfere into your private life. If you are in love or married, it is entirely your own affair.

LEO

Choose companions carefully, those who will urge you to use your talents fully. Do not let feelings about a former romance bother you. Contact influential people, and you may get to make some valuable changes. Don't make any enemies, be daring. All you need is self-control and God. VIRGO You have more courage than appears on the surface. You can do much more in a hostile world when you do not let your emotions get you down. Never pity yourself, never yield to an emotional tirade about being offended. If love is pleasant > show appreciation. You can and must trust God. LIBRA Slow down and guard your health more carefully. The time is at hand for finances to improve; little by little, you may begin to see how your dreams will work out in the future. Be patient and wait for others to speak. Show poise and a cool attitude. Someone affluent may support you in a new, excellent business activity. Do not let money or anything stop your love for God. SCORPIO Get all information available to keep up to the minute in financial affairs. Remember to keep your feet on solid ground so that your money sense can work in a practical fashion. Trust your judgement and keep appearances up. There is nothing wrong in wanting to make the best possible marriage. Tone down irresistible urges for marriage, trust

GOD.
