Meridian Lodge Entertains 500 at Annual Tri-State Fellowship
Indianapolis and the Marriott Inn were the sites of Meridian Lodges annual Tri $ late
fellowship.
This benevolent affair is hosted each year in one of the following three cities. Indian' apoiis. Indiana; Detroit. Mirh) gan; and Dayton. Ohio, Included in this trinagular meeting are the Masonic lodges from I Detroit Michigan. Mi, Par an $2 and Equity #121 from Dayton. Ohio, This was the 11th annual meeting of these three fratemal brotherhoods which use these meetings not only to renew old friendships but to aid financially some worthy cause. This year Meridian gave in excess of $2,400,00 worth of scholarship and educational aid to three college students. I'rban Development Action Grant Manager To All Interested Agencies, Groups and Persons: On or about November 5. 1991. the above named Indianapolis Marion County. Indiana, proposes to request the- I'.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to release Federal funds under Title I of the Housing and (''immunity Development Act of 1977 (P.L, 95 1281 to he used for the billowing project to be conducted during 1981. The Urban Housing Reinvestment Program will be funded by an Urban Development Action Grant of $573,090, The Program will provide low to moderate income families locat«d within the two designated areas of the Valley and the Northwest Planning Area with low interest home improvement and acquisition rehabilitation loans. It ha* been determined that such request for release of funds will not constitute an action significantly affecting the quality of the human environment and accordingly, the above*named Indianapolis. These Environmental Review liecords are on file at the above address and is available for public examination and copying upon request on the 9th Fkior. between Ihe hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. N<» further environmental review of such is proposed to be conducted prior, to the request for the release of Federal fund*. All interested agencies, groups and persons disagreeing with the decision are invited to submit written comments for consideration by the City of Indianapolis. AH such comments so received will be considered and the City of Indianapolis will not request the release of Federal funds or take any administrative action on the w ithin project prior to the date specified in the proceeding sentence. The Consolidated City of Indianapolis is certifying'to HUD that the Consolidated City of Indianapolis and Mayor William H. Hudnut, HI in his official capacity as Mayor, consent to accept the jurisdiction of the Federal courts if an action is brought to enforce responsibilities in realtion to environmental reviews, derision making, and action; and that these responsibilities have been satisfied. The legal effect of the certification is that upon approval, the Consolidated City of Indianapolis may use Urban Development Action Grant funds, and HUD will have satisfied its responsibilities under the National Environmen tal Policy Act of 1969. HUD will accept an objection to its appoval of the release of funds and accpetance of the certification only if it is on one of the following bases: (al That the certification was not in fact executed by the chief executive officer or other officers of applicant approved by HUD; or (b> that applicant's enviromental review record for the project indicates omission of a required decision, finding, or step applicable to the project in the environmental review process. Objections must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the required procedure (24CFR Part 58) and may lie addressed to HUD at 151 North Delaware Street. Indianapolis. Indiana. 46204. Objections to the release of funds on bases other than those stated above will not be considered by HUD. No objection received after November 20. 1981 will be considered by HUD. Mayor William H.
