A Seminar on Death and Dying will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 414 W. Vermont Street, Sunday December 4 at 6:00 p.m. With the help of a Chaplain from the Methodist Hospital, a physician, and one or more Funeral Directors, this seminar will help people to examine their feelings about death and dying. One of the features of the afternoon will be to have a person present who will be facing the ordeal of death soon. There will be discussions, films and film strips on the role of the family member, the minister, the physician, the funeral direcftpr and how to deal with a ‘ patifent with a terminal diagnosis. . The Rev. C. Wesley Gordon, pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church says- “We must face up to some of these problems so that when they come we will be better able to cope with them. Death is not elective, but death education is. Persons who are free to be with another who is dying or experiencing grief and bereavement must first confront for themselves the taboo nature of death.” This seminar is open to the entire community. MRS. LOUISE SMITH; - "Harvest Reaps Golden Grain” will be the theme this year of Phillips Temple C.M.E. Church “Second Annual Harvest Tea and Fashion Show” Sunday, November 27 at 4:00 p.m. The fashion show will not ony feature top professional mojflels from the Indianapolis area but, many of Phillips Temple own members whos clothes and fashions are pace-setters among the “religious community" in Indianapolis. Mrs. Louise Smith is general chairperson for this gala event, with Mrs. Marvalynn Moore and Mr. Benjamin Dulin as co-chairpersons. Mrs. Myrtle Spight is this year’s honorary chairperson.

ELIZABETH BROWN 11:00 a.m. Speaker Probation department of Criminal Court. She is married and the mother of two and grandmother of five. Her philosophy is: having God at the center of her life and to always be in love with life and living. Miss Elizabeth Brown, the 11:00 A.M. speaker is also a member of Mt. Zion and, has been very active in christianrelated organizations. She sings with the Mt. Zion Greeters Choir, is a member of the Bible Learners Sunday School Class and is a member of the Mt. Zion Credit Union Board. Miss Brown is a teacher in the Indianapolis Public Schools and has worked with the Federation of Womens’ Clubs, Girl Scouts and many other organizations including the Indiana State Teachers Parent-Teachers Association. At 3:30 P.M. Mrs. Barbara Boyd will be the final speaker of the day. Since joining the WRTV news staff as Consumer Reporter in February of 1969 Mrs. Boyd has been one of the most honored reporters on the local scene. She has received three coveted CASPER awards from the Community Service Council of Metropolitan Indianapolis, in 1974 was named “Woman of the Year” by the Marion County Unit of thz American Cancer Society, received awards from the Indianapolis Press Club, The AFL-CIO, Indiana State Medical Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation among others. A native of Evanston, Illinois Mrs, Bo^d'‘At tended the University of Illinois, Roosevelt University of Illinois, Roosevelt University and Columbia’s School of Radio - Television Writing and Acting in Chicago. She has taken extra courses at Indiana University in Radio and Television. Barbara has served with the National Conference of Christians and Jews, Jewish Community Relations Council and the Anti Defamation Leaque of B’nai B’rith since moving to Indianapolis in 1962. In 1970 Barbara won special recognition for achievement in Television and Broadcasting and was presented the Guys and Dolls Award. She has received the Indianapolis Hemophilia Chapter TV Appreciation Award, a
