ANDERSON T. DAILY The music department of New Bethel Baptist Church will present “The Songs of AnderERNEST S. MITCHELL Ernest S. Mitchell, a 76 - year-old World War II Army veteran, was buried March 5 following rites at Craig Funeral Home. He died February 28 at Veterans Hospital. Mitchell worked 25 years at Lilly, retiring in 1964 from the Biological Department. Residing at 4242 Cornelius, he was a member of Second Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura Mitchell; stepson. Lively Bryant; brother, Leonard Mitchell, and a sister, Mrs. Hilda Watkins.

JOHN BELL HOWARD Retired truck driver John Bell Howard, 71, 3524 N. Colorado, died March 2 at Winona Hospital. Rites were conducted March 7 at Sunny Mount Baptist Church. Howard, retired since 1973, drove 38 years for Rush & Hebble Wholesale Druggist Company. He was a member of South Calvary Baptist Church and Southside Fellowship Club. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Inez Howard; two sons, William Smith and John Howard; fivg, daughters, Mary Shields Green, Annette Smith, Juanita Thomas. Jane Howard and Frances Howard, and a sister, Jane Smith.
