Miss Francine A. Gossett and Mr. Donald L. Harrison will be united in marriage ip a double-ring ceremony June 9 at 3:30 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church before Rev. C.J. Bailey. Parents of the bride-elect are Mr and Mrs. Leonard W. Burnett, 6455 Grandview Drive. Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Harrison, 6071 Knollton Road, are parents of the groom r to-be. A reception will follow in the church’s dining roorm Miss Gossett i$ a graduate of North Central High School and is attending Indiana Uni-versity-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUD- Mr. Harrison is also a graduate of North Central and is presently serving with the UnitedStates Army. The bride will wear a white dress with short train, long lace veil, with deep lace designs printed in gown. She will carry flowers of combination of roses, carnations and orchids. Flowers of pink and blue will decorate the church and musical selections will feature songs by the bride with the main selection being, “We’ve Only Just Begun.” Mr. Anderson T. Dai-

ley will be organist, with solos by Alison Wright. The bride will be given away by her father, Mr. Leonard W. Burnett. The maid-of-honor is Miss Terri Gosse.tt. She will wear a pink - flowered gown over taffata. Bridesmaids will be Misses Delia Burnett, Wanda Woodson, Beryl Cain, Kathi Burnett and Valarie Pettway. They will wear a combination of pink and blue flowered dresses. Best man is Lonnie J. Harrison. Ushers will be Messrs. Frank Gossett, McKinley Blakes, Phillip Smith, Michael Chumley, Ralph Green, Jeffery Clark and David Burnett, all of Indianapolis. Little Miss Valencia Burnett is the flowergirl and she will wear a pink lace dress with pink and blue flowers. Webster L. Brewer is a native of Clarksville, Tenn., but came to our town-Indianapolis, at the age of three (3) so we claim him as a Hoosier. He attended public schools and graduated from Manual high school. He earned the BS degree with a major in Education from Indiana University; and the LLB andJD degrees from Indiana University Law School at Indianapolis. Mr. Brewer has studied at the University of Washington and at the School of Social Work of Indiana University. The black lawyer is unique in that he qualifies for his profession with the degrees from colleges and/or universities^ passes the bar and in addition his experiential background qualifies him for his profession. Webster L. Brewer is one of those experiences while in the pursuit of law degrees, provided him with much practical knowledge Of people. Mr. Brewer is married to the former Patricia Freeman, who after a stint with teaching, decided to become a distributor for AMWAY products. The Brewers have three children, two girls and a boy, and they reside at 1619 Thomas Woods Trail. Currently Mr. Brewer is engaged in the full time practice of law and maintains an office at 156 E. Market Street on the 13th floor.

Here are some comments on Week-Day Religious Education: A 5th grader says,‘‘Religious Education made me feel like I was going to church. It has helped me come closer to God.” Another 5th grader, Tom, r says ‘‘I would like to spend more time with God. I think we should have Week-Day Religious Education in the 6th grade.” Fifth grader Karen comments “Week -Day Religious Education is -a special place for learning. W.R.E. means to keep God’s word and keep it in your hearts for we all love God and God is our Master. I have enjoyed W.R.E. because I have learned so much.” Pre - enrollment of W.R.E. students for 1973-74 is underway'. Recognition Service: William Flight from Abraham Lincoln School gave the invocation, Rebecca Lunsford of School 36 read the Old Testament scripture lesson, Luana Clark of Acton SchoOl gave the prayer after scripture, Timothy Murrell of School 45 gave the award winners response, and KatherinS Ann Moral of Mary Castle School gave the commissioning prayer. This will be the last business meeting before the state convention. *** Persian Court No. 24, ladies affiliate of Persian Temple No. 46. will give special recognition to Daughters of Isis Susie Goodwin and Minnie Shaw.
