Phillips Temple choir to observe 50th anniversary The Senior Choir of Phillips Temple CME Church, 1226 N. West Street, will observe their 50th anniversary, Sunday, June 14 at 7 p.m. The choir having faithfully provided inspirational singing for 50 years, is composed of 40 members, some of whom have served for the entire half century span. The highlight of the anniversary program will be the Gladys Green Singers, composed of six praying, Christian gospel singing women, a nonprofit ' group. They were organized April 10, 196i9, by Mrs. Green for the purpose of trying to win souls for Christ through their singing. The program promises to be spiritual fete. The public is cordially invited. The formal beginning of the series of meetings will be Sunday, June 21. The services will be broadcast by WTLC Radio Station, each Sunday, 8 to 9 a.m., sponsored by the Coca Cola Bottling Company.
