WASHINNGTON, D.C. — The AME Church’s 94th annual report released by the Finance Department in Washington ,showed that in the fiscal year concluded last March 31, the African Methodist Episcopal Church had a general budget income of $2,450,423. This is $34,065 less than the budget in the prior year. , Dr. Robert W. Mance, the church’s treasurer, in spite of increased financial obligations not listed in the budget, the AME’s net assets were increased by $91,349 and the cash position of the church’s treasury increased by $91,254. Dr. Mance noted that the financial progress, as outlined in the report, was made ‘ in the face of significant challenges.” -Overall disbursements for the fiscal period totaled $2,2977108 as compared with $2,274,801 for the prior fiscal year. Net assets were increased by $91,349, thus improving the church’s cash position by $91,254 as forestated.
