The Forrestal, a heavy aircraft carrier, is now operating with the Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean The Forrestal is the second hugest ship in the world and is capable' ol carrying over 100 aircraft and 7,000 men. Both Johnson and GoldWater may campaign in state According to reports, both President Lyndon B. Johnson and Sen. Barry M. Goldwater will appear in Indiana during the- presidential campaign. J. Manfred Core. Democratic State Chairman, said this week that he believes President Johnson will appear in both Marion (Indianapolis) and Lake Counties. (Segregationist A 1 a b a m a Governor George Wallace defeated Johnson in Lake County during the May Primary. Indiana Governor Matthew E. Welsh stood in for the President.) Core said hi- appearance may come after Get. 20 and that ho would visit both counties in one day. However, he added that nothing was definite. Meanwhile, it was learned that Sen. Goldwater would visit Evansville, home of Democratic U.S. Senator Vance Hartke. on Sept. 18. He will also deliver an address in Louisville Sept. 2o. LET ME HELP YOU!
