State Baptist Convention opens next week in Muncie MUNCIE—The 107th annual session of the Indiana Baptist | State Convention will convene | here next week at Union Baptist Church with Dr. H. T. Toliver, president and pastor of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of
Indianapolis, presiding.
The state meet is expected to draw well over 1,000 delegates from throughout Hoosierland who will work under the theme, “The Church Meeting the Challenge of a New Era.” Rev. L.A.
Dew will be host minister.
On Monday’s agenda is a program by the music department headed by Mrs. Willa Johnson of Indianapolis to open morning activities. The annual sermon will be delivered by Rev. On Friday, meetings of the Indiana Baptist State Brotherhood will open also with Zara Sweeney, president, in charge.
