bigger and better and that there never will come a time it will be abandoned. In recent years finance for the project has come from gleaners given to three clubs the Angels work with, namely, the Big Eight, Twelve-Mo and Les Suavettes, who either take the gleaners or give a donation. A future aspiration of the Angels is "adopting a patient” in a state hospital. Members are ! ‘ contemplating "venturing out” because they realize deprived senior citizens need as much help as depressed children. With a limited membership of; nine affiliates, all of whom are like “sisters’ and are intimate friends, the Angels work closely together in promoting goodwill. Mrs. Harris said she is proud of the girls for they want to stick together and keep moving forward. Officers are Mmes. Audree Barker, president; Lucille “Cilis Smith, vice-president; Davella Hall, secretary; Miss Margaret Mitchell, financial secretary; Mrs. Harris, treasurer, and Mrs. Zoma “Zo Stevens, ways and means committee chairman. Members are Miss Martha "Marge” Howard, Mrs. Eva Smith and Mrs. Ann Brown. A MUST among Angels is that members say “Hi Angel” when they meet and "wave their left hand” before speak— ing unless they want a fine. One member, Mrs. Smith, was the very efficient president from 1941-51. Mrs. Harris credits her with keeping order among the girls.
