Rapier said, police theorized that she was beaten because she had hecorne almost “inactive in turning tricks.” Admitting that she had been working for “pimps” about a year and five months, the girl said that after the heating, she told the man, wliose identity is being withheld until his arrest, that she wanted to go home and see her
mother.
