Survivors besides Mrs. Davis include another daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Buford; three sons, Frederick, Julius and Sam Thomas, all of Indianapolis; three brothers, Ephriatn Jarrett of New York City, Hull Jarrett of Chicago, and Jim Jarrett of Montgomery, Ala.; 29 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

FuneraJ services were held June 4 at New Light Baptist Church, where he was a deacon, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Born at Canton, Miss., Mr. Miles had lived hexe jsinee 1925 and had bebn employed at the Hygrade Packing Co. 35 years before re-

Norman Johnson has seen the use of water quadrupled from six billion gallons in 1906 to nearly 26 billion in 1961. Population served by the company nearly tripled — from 210.000 persdns to over 590,000. Water mains totaled but 268 miles in 1906; today there are over 1,335 miles in use, supplying over 143.000 customers—a tremendous jump from the 16,816 in 1906. JOHNSON MARRIED the former Mae Watson in 1948. They have two children. La Donna, 13, and Dennis, 9. A stepson, Thomas Watson, 19, lives with them. They attend Holy Angels Catholic

Church.

Virgil Kirkpatrick Virgil Kirkpatrick, 76, died. May 30 at Veterans Hospital, West 10th Street. Funeral services were held June 2 at Jacobs Brothers Westside Chapel, with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Born at Nolin, Ky., Mr. Kirkpatrick, 3335 N. Meridian, rear, had lived here 40 years and was a janitor at the Indiana National Baink. He was a veteran of World War I.
