Mrs. Kathryn Grissom Serves As Area Chairmqn for the New March of Dimes A faithful worker in the New March of Dimes and several other organizations in Indianapolis is Mrs. Katherine Grissom
of 2275 Indianapolis.
Mrs. Grissom serves as general chairman of the Northwest Area and Center Township for the March of Dimes and has been active in the organization since it was supported by the Indianapolis Council of Parent-Teacher Associations or as she said: "Since my daughter, Rita Claren, was a kindergarten pupil at School 87." Point of interest was a champagne fountain and a canape dish which served as centerpiece. Mrs. Willa Pope was in charge of all decorations. Mrs. Carlton J. Ladd was chairman of the social affair. Although ail reports have not been turned in, Mrs. Grissom reported Wednesday that her area had a sum of $1,653.35 already. Among captains in her Northwest Area was Mrs. James Cummings who had working with her Mrs. James Fowler and Mrs. Watson. Mrs. Samuel Garner was captain in the School 42 area. Her assistants were her husband who distributed material on the New March of # Dimes and Mesdames Celesta Bowman, Jean McElvane and Nadine Hayes.
