West Africa, Korea. Japan, New .Zealand,, The Netherlands, The Holy Land, and South Africa are expected lo attend. The sponsoring group is a group of young people from the various churches who work on the committee, assisting the adult workers. This welcome is being held so that the visiting students will really know that they are welcome vo the city, our churches and homes and that the members of ihe committee want them 10 feel at home in our wonderful state. Mayor Charles Boswell, in his office Wednesday. Oct 5 signed a proclamation designating Saturday Oct. 8 as International Student Welcome Day. This group was organized about 5 years ago by Mrs. Ethel Bowman, Misses Ruth Winters and Willa Thomas. Miss Thomas, who traveled in Europe in 1955, states that ihe people of other countries were so wonderful to all the Americans who iraveled in their country and .he travelers were made welcome i nhteir homes and churches, so she feels ihat w'e should really extend welcome vo these young people who come io our city lo enter school. This is good international relations: these young people will learn to know us by visiting in ihe various homes and churches. Imported tea from Hong Kong will be enjoyed by all guests who attend the reception. Junior hostesses for the all-day affair will be Misses Sandra and Gloria Long, and Miss Judy Tal-
