PIE EATING TIME: What would a picnic be without a pie eating contest? At least that's what these youngsters (top left photo) believe as they work their wav through some delicious lemon custard pies. In top photo, right, the youngsters refresh themselves with a cool dip in the pool before lining up in the chow line. It's popcorn eating time

(bottom photo left). In bottom photo, right, it appears as though the pie-eaters forgot to take off their make-up as they pose triumphantly for the photographer. Henry Hicks, 13, 333 Blake (center), was the grand prize winner in the pie-eating contest. (Recorder photos by Houston Dickie)
