We pray God’s blessing upon her that she may be comforted in her hour of sorrow. OUR PRAYERS have oeen answered as the Billy Graham Washington crusade was a success and he reported that hundreds of lives have been changed. Let us continue to pray for him and his team that God will be glorified in his messages that souls might be saved. Next month Dr. Graham will travel to four Swiss cities, and in September he will hold three crusades in Essen, Hamburg and Berlin, Germany. In October he will go to New York to speak to the Spanish people and do his best to win them for Christ. IF YOU ARE planning to go to New Orleans with Mrs. Anna Washington to attend the Nat’l Bapt. Convention, I urge you to make reservations now. You may call her for further information. TO THE MINISTERS and lay leaders and all others who plan to go to New Orleans, it is advised that you travel by train, bus or plane and not cars, as you may not be able to purchase gas from many of the Southern service stations, so travel another way. CONGRATULATIONS to the Usher Board of First Baptist Church who celebrated its 40th anniversary last week with a program being rendered by the Chanticleer Choral Ensemble of our city, one of the finest groups of singers I have heard in a long time. Mrs. Earnest Frink was mistress of ceremonies. Soloists were Miss Dorothy Dorsey, Mrs. Pauline Carpenter, Mrs. Frances Barnett and Herman Grady. The group was directed by Mrs. Nollie Jean Hampton. Ernest Davis is their president. Another guest on the program was the president of the City Ushers Union, Hill Bennett. Members of the ushers group serving for 20 years included Mesdames Estella Youree, Birdie Hutcherson and Charles
Youree and Earl Young.
The group was organized by a charter member of the church, Mrs. Laura Montague. A reception was held in the dining room of the church, following the service. Mrs. Leemma Rice is presi-
dent of the group.

Before they can get the scholarship, however, they must have been active members of the church for four years and they must continue to serve God and His church no matter where they may go.
