Jones Boots Cloy In Lost of the Friday Nite Fites NEW YORK (ANP) — Douglas Jones of New York last week kept his unbeaten skein intact when he scored his second straight win over Von Clay of Philadelphia on a split 10-round decision in a lightheavyweight bout at St Nicholas Arena which marked the end of the “Friday Night Fighta/’ When the fighas are resumed Oct. 8. they’ll be staged on Saturday nights on ABC-TV, but without radio. Ever since the days of Tex ■Rickard, the “Friday Night Fights” have been broadcast on coast-to-co ast radio. A few years ago, television started carrying them nationally. Azolee L. Jordan Azolee L Jordan, 48, 1551 Martindale, died June 21 in General Hospital. Services were held June 24 in Stuart Mortuary, with burial in New Crown Cemetery. Mr. Jordan was born at Evansville, and had lived in Indianapolis 15 years. She was a member of the Bethel AME Church and the Elks Lodge Auxiliary. She was a former elevator operator at the Claypool and Meridian Motor Plaza hotels. Survivors include the* husband, Carl Jordan; six daughters, Mesdames Ernestine Martin, Precious Clark, Joan Abshire, Eartine M. Anderson, Shirley Vandever and Anne Pearl Hausley, and four grandchildren.
