Rev. R. T. Andrews, pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church; Rev. E. J. Odom, pastor of 25th Street Baptist Church; Rev. J. T. Highhaugh, pastor of Good Samaritan Baptist Church, and Mrs. Lillian llall, state president of the Home and Foreign Mission Convention of the General Baptist Convention, will be among the more than 20,000 delegates expected to attend the 10th Annual Baptist World Alliance, scheduled to convene June _26 in Rio De Janeiro. The theme of the conference will be “Jesus Christ Is Lord.” Delegates to appear on the conference program include Dr. M.A. Fuller of Austin', Tex., president of the Senior Women’s National Baptist Convention; Dr. John W. Williams, pastor of St. Stephen Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Belle Hendon. Acting as special representatives of The Recorder, Rev. Odom and Rev. Highbaugh will keep Recorder readers informed on the progress of the convention.

The shower room floors need painting and cleaning, and the showers are in need of repairs. The entire surroundings may be conducive to small children contracting communicable diseases by handling various forms of debris or things found on the floors and

outside the pool.

dirty exterior of the swimming pool all need painting and in some instances the application of some forms of sanitary sjirays. Finally the fence around the pool needs

repairing and painting.

One civic leader proposed that directly or indirectly likely 20,000 people visit the park weekly during- the summer months to use its several recreational facilities. And the city administration should meet the challenge of repairing run down equipment or facilities and maintaining these in a sani-

tary and usable manner.
